I believe I have great worth, and part of that worth is because you have great worth, together we make life meaningful, we have choices and desires and aspirations, and together we can impact the world for good. Seneca once said, "I would so live my life as if I received my being for the benefit of others." Life is always about choices and you can choose to see that people are disposable or you can choose to see that each person is not only valuable but also a reflection of every person you are or could be, and how you interact with them either raises the world to a higher place or lowers it, that choice is totally up to you. Blessings.

I am not wealthy or even close to being well off. I think the best things about me are my character. I am a nice person. My mom taught me to be kind, honest & respect others. I know that I have a positive effect on people, including strangers. Ex: the other day at the mall I hurried ahead of an elderly lady & she probably thought I was jut trying to get around her, but I did that to open the door for her. She smiled & thanked me. My little way of making the world a better place.

i think of you have business enterprise - being conscious that we don't comprehend something yet can specific create the sensation of "being stupid" as quickly as we actually are not. There are regular limitations to expertise. If something seems "complicated" it in many cases needs to be broken down into smaller products and each physique of those smaller aspects understood. probable the biggest barrier to expertise comes from misunderstood or no longer understood words. take a seem at something you sense you do no longer "get" and only discover the words you would be able to desire to make sparkling. the subject gets greater comprehensible. and then there is the real factor that in step with probability the guy conversing the recommendations isn't relaying it in a coherent way. that's totally possible that the subject isn't nicely worth it sluggish the two! so which you have some kit to evaluate recommendations... some issues are nicely worth expertise, and others are not! Cheers, B.B.

I think it is destroying our culture in America. We are a nation of consumers that measures our success by the property we have accumulated and not the result of our acts. People don't see it though and I can't blame a lot of them. This culture is all around us and the weak minded get pulled in and feel safe in the masses and refuse to think any other way. And no I do not buy into it. Personally I am a Christian and believe ALL men were created in the image of God and I respect them ALL accordingly, but that's just me.

Man youve got it right on the ball. But everybody's been mislead to the real truth my friend. Its nice to have a BMW, a hot mistress, and even a house in Beverly Hills. But theres no intristic value in any of it. It is all superficial. What will bring me intrisitic value for the rest of me life is making a postive difference to someone who is less fortunate then me. Like the starving children in Africa. Because the more I compare myself to Donald Trump and Hugh Hefner the more I want to compete. The more I give myself to the helpless the more I feel complete.

If you came into my home today and took away everything I own I would still be a person of worth. Why? Because I have two things that nobody will ever be able to rob me of....a mind to think and a heart to feel. Take care and I hope you have an amazing day!

My worth isn't in stuff. But, I am fighting that mentality in this generation whenever I can.
Those who were born in the past 25 years or so have been so influenced by the media and the need for stuff that it is nearly impossible to get them to understand that their value as a person isn't in their status.
I agree that it is destroying our culture. Check out http://www.battlecry.com/crisis.php

I think for the majority this is true. me as a person, i dont need things to make me happy and i dont go out and buy the latest greastest because i have to be the first to have it. people like that have no self worth...they need to have "things" in order to feel important or have a sense of belonging. I am happy being me and enjoying those in my company.

I could never find worth in anything material. I like material things, like my computer but have to be honest don't own a lot but I am really happy.
As a child, I was brought love, well she thought she was being loving yet never knew how to express it. Nothing beats love, and nothing can buy it. Nothing can go with us yet we take all the love with us, and my toys...........well, lets not go there!! LOL!!!

the media glorifies people who have a material advantage over others. they are paid by corporations mainly to brainwash consumers in proper ways to think about the way they spend their money. much of it is negative ad campaigning
That's why we use so much gas even when it doubles and triples in price. the most brainwashed people in the world are the hummer and giant SUV owners
