Carl Sagan used this same argument. He said, either everything appeared, or always was, or God did it. If God did it, he would have had to suddenly appear or have always been. If you read about God, you will soon realize that he is not matter like scientists investigate, so it is quite likely he always existed, because he exists differently than anything we can measure.
As for Carl Sagan (very famous dead scientist) he applied something to this problem that is called Occam's Razor. He said it is simpler to skip the God step and just have one problem. Where did the Universe come from. I think it is simpler to imagine a real God, and wonder how he made the universe appear. But simpler does not mean correct, and faith is something you have to believe in, or else it is not faith, it is science.

Good questions!
Everything that begins to exist must have a cause. However, God did not begin to exist. Space and time go hand in hand. Without one you don't have the other. Before the big bang, there was no space, and thus no time. So essentially God had no beginning because He is outside of time, if that makes sense :)
Contact me if you'd like to talk about this some more. You sound like you've got some good questions.

God is an "Evolutionary Artifact". Until man evolved to the point of self recognition...... there was no God. When men and women first looked into the calm waters and "saw" themselves, God was nothing.
Look in a Mirror and gaze upon God. hehe :-)
Better yet, walk into a room of Mirrors on the floor ceiling and all walls and Gaze upon God in infinity *-) zzzzeeeeeooooowwwwiiiii LOL

God wasn't created. if he had been, he wouldn't be God. you always hear that God is eternal. well, it works both ways . . . he has always been here, and always will be. God didnt "start" or begin", he won't "end".
He just IS.
kind of like time . . . that's something most ppl can accept pretty easily. you can't really say that time itself has a beginning or end. God is the same way . . . infinite.

Not everything needs to be created. This is four dimensional thinking. The universe may have 11 dimensions. You need to think outside the box - if you can - which you probably can't good luck with that!

We cannot concieve of something that was always there because we live on a round earth with a birth and a death. Eternity goes both ways with God.

The answer is only in the mind of God. What makes you think that man has that reasoning ability?

God tells us that when we get to heaven in our spiritual state, we will understand all things. Our minds here on earth cannot conceive of the things we will learn some day.

no one created God. He just is.
He has no beginning and no end. He *is* the beginning and the end.
You have to believe that he is what he says he is. That is called faith.
If you ask him to reveal himself to you, he will. You must be earnest in your intreat of him.
