Call the vet and tell them what happened and give them your dogs weight - they will tell you how much benedryl to give. I know that it is 25mg per 15 pounds of body weight. But w/o knowing what kind of dog you have or how much he weighs I cannot tell you how much to give!

If this sting was anywhere else I would say give benadryl. However, an eye is NOT something you want to stick ANYTHING into!!! Call your vet and tell him/her what has happened. Undoubtably you will be asked to come in. DO NOT put anything in or on that eye. Nothing can take the place of good medical care when it comes to health.

Well, you need to see if the bee's stinger is stuck in there and if so I don't think you can take it out yourself, it'd be too painful and dangerous on not knowing how your dog will react. If you can I'd take him to the vet immediately before hie eye swells up to the point where he isn't going to be able to see.

You might want to take it to the vet, because it could go blind. My dog got stung in the mouth and he turned out OK.

if it is the actual eyeball i would take it to the vet. if it is near the eye itself just watch for swelling and an alergic reaction. the eyeball may have been harmed or the stinger could have gotten in the eyeball and can cause an infection in the longrun and irritation to cause the dog to scratch at the eye causing more problems

dogs have bad reactions to bee stings my dog ended up in the vet bc of a bee sting with a rash on her tummy and a fever... so you should call your vet and ask them what you should look for and if your dog has a reaction you should bring him/her into see the vet.

Monitore your dogs respiratory rate and effort... Place ice to the effected area... if their is a stinger still intact DO NOT squeez the base of it to remove it. Use a flat object like a credit card to scrape it away. If your dog begins have difficulty breathing seek medical attention...

Ouch poor thing, I would put an ice pack on it to help w/ the swelling and call the vet and see what they want you to do. If they say take him in then do it.
