She was 64 a 6th grade teacher from New Zealand. My best friend for over 10 years. She was about 18 years older than me. We enjoyed shopping, traveling, and working together. She was an animal lover also. I miss her terribly. Would like a poem or prayer that I could share with others trying to let them know how much she ment to me and so she won't be forgotten by others that maybe didn't know her or understood her. If you don't have a nice answer please do not reply. I couldn't take something derrogative today. Thanks a million.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousands winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there. I did not die.

If Tears Could Build A Stairway If tears could build a stairway And memories were a lane We would walk right up to heaven And bring you back again No farewell words were spoken No time to say goodbye You were gone before we knew it And only God knows why Our hearts still ache in sadness And secret tears still flow What it meant to lose you No one can ever know But now we know you want us To mourn for you no more To remember all the happy times Life still has much in store Since you'll never be forgotten We pledge to you today A hallowed place within our hearts Is where you'll always stay

I Am There!

I am dead yet I am there!
Sometimes near; sometimes far.
Beyond the silvery fluffy clouds
Or the sapphire blue skies,
I am there to do my own work;
For my spirit to grow and learn.

Simultaneously though
I am also there for you;
To help, guide and protect you
In all that you need to do;
But first you must ask in prayers
And give me permission to act,
That's when
Not only will I be there
But also here
With all those angelic realms.

This is a song, it's called "Borrowed Angels."
Kristin Chenoweth sings it on her album, "As I Am."
I think it's really beautiful, i hope you like it.

* * * *

They shine a little brighter, they feel a little more
They touch your life in ways no one has ever done before
They love a little stronger, they live to give their best
They make our lives so blest, so why do they go so soon?
The ones with souls so beautiful
I heard someone say

They must be Borrowed Angels, here in this life
They come along, into this world, and make this world bright
But they can't stay forever
Cause they're heaven sent
And sometimes, heaven needs them back again

They reach a little deeper, they see what's in your soul
And even when they leave, you know you'll never let them go
The world's a little richer, just cause they came along
Their love goes on and on, so why do they go so soon?
The ones with souls so beautiful. I heard someone say

They must be Borrowed Angels, here in this life
They come along, into this world, and make this world bright
They can't stay forever, cause they're heaven sent
And sometimes, heaven needs them back again

How else can you explain why they're here and not here to stay?
I believe there must be, must be

Borrowed Angels, here in this life
They come along, into this world, and make this world bright
But they can't stay forever, cause they're heaven sent
And sometimes heaven needs them back again
And sometimes heaven needs them back again

Lord, there is an empty space in my heart today. The memories of times gone by, don't seem to fill it yet. Perhaps, perhaps in the years to come, they will,...but not now, not today. I hear a voice and want to hear hers. I sit in a room and want her to walk through the door. Don't take away those wonderful memories which cause my sorrow, but fill me with a greater joy and hope for tomorrow. Amen.

I will write an original for you, Tell me if you like it.

My dearest friend, where did she go,
She taught children what they should know
To pass sixth grade, and be quite smart
We used to shop, and look at art
she walked with me in work and fun
And brought such joy to everyone
New Zealand was her place of birth
She was my best friend on this earth
I miss her so, I truly do
Her animal friends, they miss her too.
No one can fill the void she left,
The day she died, my heart was cleft
With me I carry her memory
And so my friend still lives, in me.
