There are false prophets out there, but there are also those who are called and ordained by God to spread the Word. It goes both ways.

Yes, I firmly believe that, and the reason I believe it is the confession of so many who have left the cloth, who admit that had stopped believing and yet continued to practice for years before finally deciding to stop living a lie.
You can somewhat forgive people like that, since they were sincere when they committed themselves to it, and later found themselves in the uncomfotable position of not believeing, and also having no marketable skills or support group to turn to as a soon-to-be-ex-minister.
There are also numerous predators out there doing it for the money. Skin 'em I say.

It is an unfortunate truth that there are those who do not truly believe... this is a truth in all "denominations" and sects of any "religion".... For the Christian Faith it is also a fact that there are more who claim to be than truly are...and there are far fewer thatn the world thinks there are... The world has a great misconception of what The ChristianFaith is and who the Faithful are..... and those you speak of do not make it easy for an honest seeker to find The Truth of The Way to God

Absolutely. Many of them get into a pulpit and stay there because it is an easy job. There are several in my community.
You'll also notice they pastor small congregations.
Larger, growing churches are pastored by preachers who care and invest serious time, money and other personal resources into their church. Being a real church pastor is not an easy nor a 9-5 job. It's 24/7

I agree with you... I believe most may have been into it for their faith when they started but when they discovered that people would listen to them, give them money for nothing more than preaching, and do whatever they asked them to do, the power went to their head and realized they could turn this into a money-making empire.
Especially evangelists... robber-barons is more like it.

I agree, I think that most are in it for the money. Although I am sure there are some out there that really believe and are trying to do some good out there.

Nope! Most are truly preaching what they believe.
OF COURSE there are some that are making BÃG DOLLARS and don't believe their own lectures or preaching.
