I am a smoker too and I have unique blend of tea that I drink twice everyday.Have you tried with small green indian-cardamom in your tea? If not, then you are missing a big thing. Just crush some Indian green cardamoms may be 6 -7 pieces and mix them in your tea. It taste so good like natural mint. Also, to get good flavour, use lose tea powder available at any Indian stores and not the packet tea bags, these are gross. You'll enjoy it .

I simmer fresh mint leaves in my tea then strain it, I prefer green tea, but also love many varieties such as red rose. The mint refreshes your breathe as well as add delisous flavor. You can also add honey and lemon.
I make a iced tea with lemon and mint. it is great. Just experiment, and have fun. You can also add fruit to your tea or just fruit juices. The possibilities is numerous. Have fun and cheers to a nice tea.

Different ones at different times, sometimes cloves, or peppermint, spearmint, peach, raspberry, I usually steep my flavoring with my tea. Lots of combinations are great it is mostly a matter of what you like, the spearmint makes it cooler while cloves give it a bold flavor that is set apart from other flavors, try it sometime.

Honey only.
Sugar is really bad for you and completely defeats the purpose of drinking tea. Honey is natural and quite good for you.

My granny used to stir a little jelly or jam into her tea to sweeten and flavor it. Or a spoonful of fruit brandy when she thought no one was looking.
