to set an example for her daughters to be strong and not do whatever men want? or should the woman submit to her husband

one or the other, dont say 'equality' please, because in the real world one person always has more control/power.

Only if you let one person always have the control, do what you want, teach your girls your morals, discuss it with your husband, you guys are the ones raining them, its up to you. Raise them to make their own desicions and to stick by those desicions with conviction, no matter the consequences.

Persoanlly, because I am feminist, I think it's just fine for the mother to be the boss, but there are certain things the father should have control over. The parents need to agree for the most part, but to show your daughters that it is NOT okay for a guy to walk all over them, they need to be shown others being strong as well.

Maybe I am wrong but I have taught my daughter to not be totally dependant on anyone or anything. Many men see support as ownership, so keep that door open. It's easier to be controlled if you are utterly helpless. It is a shame that things are as they are, but the good old days are gone.(call me cynical). I answer this as a single father raising a daughter so you can get both perspectives.
