Joseph is not Jesus earthly father because God is right? So therefore how can Jesus lineage be traced to David through Joseph when Joseph was not Jesus' father?

Luke and Matthew both trace their lineage through Joseph.

On the subject of Mary's lineage, Luke says in 1:36 that Mary was "kin" (suggenis) to Elizabeth, John the Baptist's mother. Elizabeth, we are told, is a "daughter of Aaron," which is to say that she is from a priestly (Levite) family. This makes sense, since she is married to a priest, Zechariah, and Levites tended to marry within the tribe. If Mary is a blood-relation to Elizabeth, as suggenis suggests, then that means it's very unlikely that she is of Davidic stock

Col.1:15; The first creature created by God, is the only one to qualify as a savior of the offsprings of Adam the first man created.
There is no way that Joseph is not of the correct lineage, but since the spirit is life and this is from God and in all created or born Num.16:22; and is life inside the womb Eccl.11:5; or inside any living thing, the spirit and where God puts it is easy for God.
Mary was the linage of the king line and the priest line and the twelve tribes of Israel are involved. As a man and his wife are one, and as The Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and the redeemed are one, so is the whole lineage of the twelve tribes.
The spirit is the life, John 17:5,24; Jesus was with God before the world was, John 4:24; God is a spirit and all his angels are spirit Job 38:4-7; they saw the earth become the focus for habitation, the water flesh of day five, and the dust flesh of day six, all has life by the spirit of God Eccl.3:19-21;
Adam to Noah is 10, Shem to Abraham is 20, Abraham to David is 14 Matt.1:1-17; David to Daniel at Babylon captivity is 14, from here to Jesus in the Roman Empire is 14, 1Chr.3:9-17[ the lineage of the king line]; 1Chr.6:1-15 [ the lineage of the priest line];
They all have the same blood line from God and the spirit from God.
Aaron the priest line married the sister of Nashon in the king line, it happend all down the lineage.
By sin from Adam they are all born in sin to die, 1Cor.15: As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Psm.104:29,30; If God should zap his spirit from all souls, they will die and turn to dust, if he sends forth his spirit, they are created, and the face of the earth is renewed.
HOW EASY IT WAS FOR GOD TO DO WHAT HE DID WITH BIRTH OF JESUS.

Joseph was Jesus' "step father". Both Marys and Josephs lineages back to the tribe of Judah are in the New Testament, Joseph's is in Matthew and Mary's is in Luke. This is one reason God commanded the Jews not to inner-marry with other nationalities, because the Jewish line of Jesus had to be pure. King David was also in this line. The tribes of Israel (Jacob) were all named after his sons and Judah is the tribe that David, Mary, Joseph and Jesus came out of. That's why Jesus is called the Lion of Judah.

If you really want to know the answer to this question, read Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum's analysis here:
http://www.messiahnj.org/af-throne.htm
Dr. F. is a highly respected Messianic Jewish scholar who has taught me the true meaning of so many Biblical subjects.
I know you've posted a comment that Matthew and Luke are both Joseph's lineage, but Dr. F. proves this to be untrue. Luke provides Mary's lineage.
RE: Your point on Elizabeth: you overlook the fact that, when a woman married, she became part of her husband's tribe. Also, you overlook the possibility that she's a cousin by marriage to Mary, although I think the former is the correct answer.

The notes in my study Bible say this:
Matthew does not say that Joseph was the father of Jesus but only that he was the husband of Mary and that Jesus was born of her. In this genealogy Matthew shows that, although Jesus is not the physical son of Joseph, he is the legal son and therefore a descendant of David.
I'm not sure what Mary's lineage is. There has to be something to that as well.

From my preacher husband:
Just like a paper trail, there is a lineage trail. There was a man involved in Jesus' life as a father. His name was Joseph who came from David. 1st TI 3:16 says God was manifest in the flesh. John chapter 10 says I and my father are one. Jesus is God from the lineage of David. Because just as Joseph wasn't his father, he was the husband of Mary.
God could have chosen anyone to be his stepfather but he chose from Davids seed.
Mathew chapter 1:21 says that which was conceived in Mary was conceived of the Holy Ghost. So now who's son is He?
If God and the Holy Ghost are one, which they are, then God and Jesus are one.

in the book of Matthew 1st chapter verse 16 it tells of joseph being born from Jacob Mary was already pregnant see verse 19 verse 19 says they were already married but had not come togeather, (as man and wife) so sence they were married that is where the lineage lies Mary through Joseph, sort of like if you were to inherrit something from your grandfathers father, you are in that lineage its also like the bible says if you are baptized into Christ you put on Christ and there fore you become the seed of Christ and heirs according to the promises see Galatians chapter3 verse 26-29

because Joseph was fathering him during that time. He was married to Marry and so was the Father of Jesus. God was his true father, but so is God my father. Yet, I have a father here on earth who takes care of me and all those things. Do you get it now?

Jesus' lineage to King David is through His mother, Mary.
In Jewish genealogy, it is the mother's line that is considered.
