i have tried to recover but it shows invalid file

You can't maybe if save the file and try a different AutoCAD on a different computer it may open but never can be used on that one again.

If the recover tool doesn't work, which I have found that a lot of times it doesn't, go to where the files are saved and look for the .bak files. These are created after each successful save. Look for the most recent one and then change the file extension from .bak to dwg. it will then open the file in AutoCAD. It will be older then what you had, but as long as you saved regularly, it shouldn't be too old. I believe you can also do this with the Auto Save files, but unless you have specified where they will be automatically saved to, they are very difficult to find.

If the file extensions are not shown in the folder where your file is, go to: Tools/ Folder Options. Click on the View tab. Scroll down to the box that says "Hide extensions for known file types", if that has a check mark in it, uncheck it and you will be able to see the extensions.
