Why don't you try the truth...along w/ the REAL reason why.. Sounds scary i know. But you'll actually manage to keep some of her respect for you by doing this. And ya'll might actually be able to maintain a friendship just b/c of the fact that you didn't play that line on her (we can still be friends). That's hard to do. What you need to do is next time you two are together and alone, sit her down and grab her hands. Then look at her and tell her that you've fallen out of love with her. She'll look like she's been hit by a bus, but just say that you're sorry, and you think it's time she needs to go or you need to go, depending on where you are. Send her off to her house so she can sit in her room with the music on and let it sink in, then she'll begin to accept it. Don't avoid her, talk to her if you see her, but don't go out of your way to talk to her either. Give her time to accept it.
