During bootcamp young men are trained to become killers. Why is it the focus seems to be shifting from killing the enemies of the people to acctually killing the people that these marines are supposed to be fighting to preserve.
Chants of gather the school children round and mow them down have been reported.
There is the infamous 29 Palms survey in which troops were asked if ordered to shhot americans would they, the thier credit the vast majority said no and have been shipped overseas, but 24% said they would, and have largely been assigned duty stateside.

Here is an article where a former Marine Core Drill instructor spills the beans on these traitorous chants.

Here is the alleged chant:
"Throw some candy in the school yard, watch the children gather round. Load a belt in your M-60, mow them little bastards down!!" and "We're gonna rape, kill, pillage and burn, gonna rape, kill, pillage and burn!!"

Sun Tzu's Newswire Press Release - 9748

1994 survey warned of Marine border killing danger
----By Sun Tzu's Newswire Staff
Twentynine Palms, California -- A 1994 survey of 300 U.S. Marines
warned of the potential dangers of employing U.S. military forces
in a law enforcement roles along the U.S.-Mexico border and other
non-traditional missions.
Non-traditional missions include drug interdiction operations
conducted by Joint Task Force Six (JTF 6).
The survey results found that 26.34% of the Marines would not
hesitate to fire upon U.S. citizens while enforcing federal
orders.
So I was wrong when I said 24%, it was really 26.34% who would fire upon US Citizens if so ordered, sorry for being TOO conservative with my data....

If you already have tendencies toward violence (fantasies and so forth) it makes perfect since to get paid for the chance to do what you wish (violence and killing) legally. It doesn't surprise me that the percentage (although I think it is much lower and you are overstating) is larger than someone might expect. But you must remember that people volunteer for the job - that means violent people and psychos can and will apply for the job. Don't disrepect our great troops with your obvious anti war banter. Give up - we are there and we are staying.

Will liberal imaginations never run out of new lies to use to achieve their agenda?
The oath that every single member takes upon entering the United States military service (any branch) is "I swear to defend and support the constitution of the United States against ALL enemies foreign and domestic.........etc" and to obey all LAWFUL orders. The right to keep and bear arms is guaranteed by the constitution. An order to confiscate arms would not be lawful. However as a former military member I can tell you that if my duties to carry out my mission required me to, I would use up to and including lethal force against ANYONE, citizen or not. An example might be if you were a sentry at a secure installation and a tresspasser disobeyed an order to halt. This should not be a surprise to anyone, and thank God we have people who will abide by their oath. I will not believe that any member of the armed forces of this country has ever been asked to swear allegience to the united nations. Were I ever asked to I would refuse. If this country is on a multinational mission with a supreme commander who is not a member of the U.S. military, then all commands from this person would have to come through the U.S. militaries chain of command.
Before I would give any credibility to the article allegedly written by a former marine drill instructor I would have to first see some documentation that he was who he says he is. Assuming that he is I'll just say this. There are many things that can happen to a person after combat, and returning to civilian life. One danger is becoming associated with certain people of a particular political persuasion, and in essence over a period of time becoming "indoctrinated". Veterans are a target for people doing such things. Sometimes there are veterans groups with less than patriotic zeal that have become infiltrated by certain "other" groups. This is not a paranoid conservative rant. I know what I'm talking about. If this person IS in fact who he says he is, it is still one mans opinion. The Marine Corps is a fraternity and all former marines are thought of as brothers. That doesn't mean that there aren't some bad apples. Unfortunately Lee Harvey Oswald was a former marine. That wouldn't make his credibility about what goes on in the corps any greater than anyone else who has served, and I guarantee you would find 10,000 marines for every one of him that would tell you he's a liar. I wont deny there are marching and running cadences that are sometimes graphic and not meant for public consumption. Most are humorous. Sometimes they are sarcastic exagerations concerning war and killing. No, they are not part of some programing to produce marines who are homicidal maniacs. I can tell you first hand that I have witnessed tragedies in war and those trained killers you are attacking are probably the most compassionate people that you will ever find when it comes to the plight of children caught up in war. If you had the slightest clue about what you were talking about and had seen the acts of marines that I have you would hate yourself for ever suggesting something as vile and disgusting as you have about these men who are among the best that we have.
P.S. I can promise you if I was on border security and armed military personnel from another country were to cross the border I would not hesitate to use deadly force if that option was permitted by my orders....it's called an invasion.

Do people like you understand how ridiculous you sound when you say stuff like this? I don't care if people don't like the Military and the President. You have the right to feel however you want, but so many of you come on here and just tell these stupid made-up lies and theories. And you always give out a web-address to back up what you're saying, but the websites you're getting your information from is ran by idiots! Anyone can start a website on any subject, but it doesn't mean they are telling the truth, or that all the information they are giving out is anything more then their own opinion. It's like you can't back up anything you're saying with proof, so you just make stuff up! I guess that you have so much hate for our President, that you're actually willing to lie just to try to get those of us that do support him to start hating him as much as you do. Grow-up and argue your point about these subjects will actually points, and not some made-up crap that other Bush haters have convinced you of!

what????
my husband is a marine and we live on an installation close to parris island (east coast's recruit depot). i have NEVER heard of chants like that. i think someone very anti-military came up with some crazy crap.
all the marines i encounter are very patriotic and very caring towards family and values.
this is tightest knit group of people i have ever encountered. there is a complete sense of team with everyone and the only "chant" that could remotely be construed as harmful is "ooh-rah" which is a marine saying that basically means "kill", but is used more as a moral booster. like if someone is giving a speech and at a church you may hear congregants say "amen" in the middle when they hear something that floats their boat. well, "ooh-rah" is like that, it's a booster.
plus, that "chant" doesn't even seem to follow cadence

because the Marines are being shot before each and every thing, and are retaining themselves? because some Iraqi's do not care and use those homes to launch assaults from? because Mr. Murtha is making an attempt to make himself look sturdy with suggestions from spreading lies about the U. S. to his constituants (who're no longer helping the conflict)? --- On a own be conscious, except you've been in conflict, and recognize first hand the variety of rigidity those Marines (and the different amenities) are lower than, you need to really save your mouth close. conflict is an rather confusing element to participate in. no longer understanding if the guy who's walking in the route of you has a gun, or a bomb strapped to their chest; is the subsequent homestead the only finished of persons attempting to kill you? or is it a school? except you're there, you do not recognize.

You can ask a question in anyway you want to get the disired answer. Even if your basic information is correct there are ways to make anyone say they would kill Americans. The chants are made up by conspiracy therorist. Give some proof, and more then just one, if you are going to say something like this prove it.

Wow,
Can you even call this radical left wing propaganda?
I would love to see your sources on this. But I bet there are none. If you can find me ONE credible source I would be willing to pay cash.
But I think that this is something so fabricated that even the likes of Michael Moore wouldn't touch it.
Next time you post something, think for just a second. Sure we all have the freedom to say what we please, but that doesn’t mean we should just spout crap.
I think you have gone WAY beyond Kool Aid bucko.

Rumor and innuendo are damaging, especially since there is no basis for what you are spreading. Each of us has a responsibility to speak the truth to the best of our ability, if we are to ask or answer questions on this site.
It's obvious that this does not apply to arabs or muslims who believe that only their opinion is factual. To them, the rest of us know nothing and should offer no opinion, but we should hang on their every word as being the truth. I think not!
