Try any Tea Tree shampoo. It has Menthol in it that creates a soothing effect and it also contains essential oils that can prevent the scalp from drying out. NEVER use any kind of cooking or olive oil in you hair. It will never come out, and will leave you super super greasy. Paul MItchell makes a great, cheap Tea Tree shampoo. Try washing your hair every other day as well. When you wash daily you take away alot of natural oils that keep the scalp moist!

Rub your scalp with virgin coconut oil or virgin olive oil (both of them works) then wrap you hair in warm towel. Let it sit for about 30 minutes then wash your hair, do not shampoo but use just the conditioner. Do this every other day, especially before hitiing the sack. Do not wash your hair the next morning, wash it only in the afternoon or better yet, at night. Follow this routine for two weeks and you'll notice the dramatic change.

you need to try out a new shampoo one that works for you, my husband has a really dry scalp and he uses Head and Shoulders and thats works. I don't have a dry scalp but i use Garnier Fructis, i guess you should just try a shampoo that helps you and once you do stick to it .

To get rid of dry scalp, just use this grease called "sulfur". It cleans ur scalp, moistens it up, and also keeps it healthy all at the same time. U can buy it at Walgreens or Rite Aid. Once u use it, there's no doubt in my mind that ur scalp will go dry again!!!!!!!!

Pert works pretty good. I would try it. You could also go to your local store and check what they have. They may have a generic shampoo there that you could try. Not everything works on everyone, you're going to have to try different things. But, I would definitely start with Pert.

I don't like Head and Shoulders either, it leaves a nasty smell.

That's pretty much what the dermatologist gave me. I still have dry scalp but it cleared up little bit.
