I have not touched this subject in years and sold my university texts aeons ago.

The classic is Marie-Louise Thomsen's *The Sumerian Language: An Introduction to its History and Grammatical Structure*. . but it IS expensive ($150 or so).

Another more recent one that many recommend is *A Manual of Sumerian Grammar and Texts* by John L. Hayes (Malibu, 200)... runs $40-50.

I believe Eisenbrauns carries Hayes. You might do a web search for both titles.
