I'm using Nero 7 ultra edition.And I also notice that when it gives an actual time it takes longer than the time it displays.

Get another burning sofware.I don't know if you know it or not but Nero is'nt all it's cracked up to be.The best burning software I have run across of all the years on the net would be Ashampoo Burning Studio 5or6 with blueray capabilities.www.ashampoo.com.Get the full version for 30 days free.Try it you will see for yourself.

when you burn a dvd, depending on the speed and ram of your pc, you should not have anything else running during the burn.
shut down all programs that aren't needed to burn the disk.
don't allow the screen saver to come up.
also some anti virus software will interfere with a dvd burn
