it would be too expensive for the supermarket to put brakes on all their carts.

where do you live? grocery stores on slopes?? usually people can control their carts. Only place I can see how they couldn't is London --all their carts move sideways and are so messed up (but at the airport there, they do have brakes)

what supermarkets have you been too that are always on a slope? but i think they dont put brakes on those carts because you arent supposed to be pushing them around that fast to begin with.

we do have shopping trolleys with brakes

asda's trolleys have brakes and I think you must have subsidence where you live

they do have brakes next time you go shoppin have a look it,s normally at the back of the wheel
