My cats are treated as part of my family..Loved well looked after and babied.I have 2 sons don'tlive alone. My cats are part of the family and treated as such.Nothing odd about it. What is odd is people that get pets don't take proper care of them and if they decide down the road that they can't be bothered they just get rid of them.N ow that ODD!

That may be so. I had never had a dog before until my oldest daughter told me she was getting married. Then all of a sudden I needed a dog. So, yes I guess I was compensating for my child leaving home. And YES, I treat my little dachshund like my child. We've had her for 6 and 1/2 years now. And she's the baby! But, odd, yes I would say I'm odd and not just because I have a funny looking baby.

I have a daughter, my husband has four grown children. We treat our pets like human beings. Well.....not the fish so much. They don't respond. But I know what you are saying. I have met a few couples who cannot have or don't have children and they are definitely compensating for the lack of children. I think it gives some people a sense of purpose to raise a pet. In return, the pet gives unconditional love.

I merely would desire to ask. Are you disenchanted that Obama swatted that fly? How animals are dealt with relies upon on your religious ideals. in case you're a christian God of course states that one and all animals have been placed in this earth for us to apply as we please, specifically as nutrition! different religions I do exactly no longer comprehend. i comprehend that some countries worship cows, at an identical time as maximum human beings choose an mind-blowing sirloin steak. there's an excellent distinction between animal welfare and animal rights. Animals should not be forced to go through and be dealt with inhumanely yet they have been placed in this earth for nutrition. while they set up the trial for the lion that killed the gazelle please enable me comprehend. that's something that i merely can no longer pass over. Oh specific and that i'd desire to additionally upload. Oh it may certainly be superb if we've been all vegetarians. If no animals have been ever slaughtered the animal international could be overpopulated with animals. we've a hard adequate time feeding the individuals of the international. Are we going to establish nutrition pantries for the animals next so that they are able to all quit by for his or her vegetarian salad additionally? This became no longer for unique poster yet guy or woman who concept we would desire to continuously all grow to be vegetarians. i merely can no longer quit freaking giggling over that.

It is not odd these days, I hear of it more and more, but I don't think I could ever treat a pet as a human (sorry PETA).

I don't think it is odd...no. Some people are so close to their pets that they treat them like their children, I don't see anything wrong w/ this. And it doesn't make them crazy.

it happens on a daily basis. But no matter how you look at it it is better to be pathetically in love with your dog and spoil it rather then those out there who neglect and harm there pets. I believe that true animal neglect is odd, it makes no sense to me however love makes sense
