Chocolate is fatal in large amount, the toxicity is pretty low and epending on the size of the dog it would take a lot but even small amounts can cause upset stomach and diarreah... if they get into it often it can also cause pancreatits as can any high fat foods given to a dog. Best just to avoid it completely.
Salt is not something dogs need... sodium is present in most thing in suffcient quantities, do not add salt to their food.

Chocolate can kill a dog. There is a chemical inside the chocolate that reacts with their intestines. It doesn't get along that well and can kill them.
If in very very small amounts it is perfectly okay, but, its better just to teach the dog that chocolate is bad.
Salt, there is nothing wrong with it. Have you ever noticed your dog licking your legs whenever you are sweaty? All they are doing is getting off the salt off your body. It is actually quite tasty to them, and adds a little diversity to the dry dog food that they eat all the time. I wouldn't feed it to them straight though. Just let them get off on the sweat you have on your body. Too much of anything can be harmful.

Never heard of a dog dying from chocolate. Salt, alittle probably is ok since most food has it in it already. SAVE YOUR DOG SOMEDAY, this is helpfull if you think your pet got into something they shouldnt. We have saved several dogs from poisioning using this method. Give your dog a hand full of salt, table salt, take a handfull open their mouth and pour down, hold their mouth closed for a short time, they will throw up what ever they just ate.

Chocolate can kill a dog. Salt can cause water rentention just like in humans. It is best to never feed dogs any table scraps at all.

Too much chocolate can acctually kill a dog. Not sure the reason, but its true. I wouldnt give the dog salt either. They make dog food for a reason, you should stick to that.

It really depends on how much chocolate. Once my chihuahua ate a mimi m&m and she was fine. But If they do eat a lot yes it will kill. I dont know about salt, but I think they put some in dog food.
