I assume you meant the ILLEGAL ones

No, they should not be allowed to stay in the United States. Just think about it. Do other countries allow Americans to stay in their country if they snuck in? NO, so why should we be the exception to the rule? If i snuck into Mexico, im sure they would be more than happy to extradite me back to my country upon finding me.

If we Naturalize our illegal immigrants, we are basically teaching the rest of the world that our rules are meant to be broken. If I am trying to come to the USA PROPERLY and I saw a bunch of Illegal immigrants getting to stick around, then it teaches me that I should just smeak in, because that is the easiest way to become an American. Nobody would ever use the legal method again.

:-) the government doesn't really have a choice. This nation depends on 80% of the resources it consumes from the very nations that those immigrants come from. If the US were to deport 12 million people the first thing that would happen is a complete Anti-United Statesian feeling all over the world. Turning Latin America into US enemies, anybody that runs with an anti-US platform would win by a landslide, and then simply cut off our supplies choosing to sell to China, Europe or anybody but the US. Without raw materials from the nations we depend on the US economy would falter in a matter of weeks, not years.

The US does not have a choice but to accept the Illegal Aliens (IA) already here. The US could close the border and prevent further unsolicited immigration though.

Legal immigrants yes, illegal immigrants NO. Also, the border fence needs to be finished, the Border Patrol needs to be enhanced, employer enforcement needs to be carried out,
and the cities/counties/states need to actively and voluntarily work alongside our federal enforcement to get a handle on the whole mess. Congress, additionally, needs to put legislation on the table that spells the situation out in black-and-white. This has all been neglected for far too long, it needs to get effectively addressed nationwide, and not just in regard to mexico, but to all countries. Legal's legal, illegal's illegal, different spelling, different meaning, not a lot of room for misunderstanding...

I think everyone here believes that immigration is fine....and that legal immigrants have every right to be here. The issues begin when we discuss illegal immigration....what to do with them, how to stop them... On one had they are providing inexpensive services...ie construction, farming, landscaping......the other hand is they do cost our communities money...more schooling, free health care... additional need for law enforcement ????

What to do...we can do what Colorado is proposing...cutting down on services unless they prove they are a legal resident...(applies only to people over the age of 18)

Only the legal ones. We tried letting the illegals stay 20 years ago. All that happened was, we got even MORE illegals entering the country. That's no answer.

OK, so if we look back in history illegal people have been here all along.......but since there are some ignorant people that do not know about their history or where they came from....then that's why all this jealousy exists about who is allowed to come or not, our ancestors were once illegal at one point.

in that case we are Illegals have been here since we/they took over the native Americans land back in 1400's

if the government is as hipocritical as to colect taxes from illegal imigrants and accept their hard work, and then turn around and kick them out of the US. thn i say imigrants should stay, if thay were all kicked out, agricultural food prices would triple in less than 6 months.

...and i think macdyver60 has a great answer

I think they should be allowed to stay. Our government was aware of this situation and continued to let it go on. I tthink they should concentrate on the border security and allow the individuals here to stay.
