are having today with ILLEGALS??? Personally, i think it all started with Reagan giving them amnesty back in 1986!!!! He's the FIRST one i blame!!! Our borders should have been secured THEN, like they were supposed to have been!!! Amnesty NEVER works!!! It just leads to MORE amnesty!!!! Then, twenty years later, along comes Bush, (AIDED by the Senate) and promises more amnesty ( they're the SECOND ones i blame)!!!! Then,we ALSO have the ILLEGALS themselves, who i blame (only in a lesser way). Hypothetically speaking: Let's say you're going to run down to Circle K on the corner because you're out of milk. You think,"i'll only be gone a minute,so i won't lock my door." BUT, in the few minutes you're gone, a burglar happens by, and finds your door unlocked. So, he decides to go in and rob the place. When he gets inside,he decides he wants something to eat, so he goes through your fridge, and eats what he wants. He's got a headache, so he uses your aspirin. By then,he's had a chance to

look around, and decides, "I really like it here!! There's plenty to eat,a nice place to live,i think i'll stay"!! So, just because the burglar had the OPPORTUNITY to sneak into the house and rob the owner, he still did NOT have either the MORAL or LEGAL right, to do so!!!! I rest my case!

In short, I think the blame belongs on the current, as well as past administrations. It's difficult to blame one administration over the other. But I can see how our area has been neglected to the point of almost no return. Hopefully, the Congress will act and give us all good news. It's about time they did their job, don't you think? You are right, seal those borders!!

OK can we stop calling it amnesty? The Senate has been saying for a while now that it is NOT amnesty, it is a way that illegal immigrants could earn their citizenship. They would have to pay a large fine and work many many years here in the US, then learn English and pass the citizenship test. I think the government is the most to blame, they made it very difficult for poor people to come to the US legally. Why do you think that they are here? They need the money otherwise they wouldnt be doing jobs like cleaning toilets and cutting your grass! I feel truly bad for them because they have to put up with people like you who only bad mouth them and say they are dirty and such just because they work hard.

While I agree that any amnesty is a horrible idea, you need to get the facts for yourself. Don't just listen to the media spin. Read the actual document (see link below).
Reagan did not grant amnesty to any illegal aliens. The program was much more involved than that. In addition, Reagan's policy included many stiff penalties for employers who hire illegals - penalties that are not being imposed today even though the laws are still there.
And where is Clinton's responsibility in all of this? He had eight years to do something about illegal aliens. Are you being fair about this topic, or are you just using this issue to bash conservatives?

The law has to be observed in all of this. We've tolerated lawlessness for years on this issue, and now it's grown in proportion to the point where it'll be a Real Challenges for state and federal regulators/legislators/etc to get a handle on it.
Reagan was the first part of the problem, this administration's just stoked the fires...and Clinton's NAFTA crack-dream just kept providing encouragement etc.
The US borders are supposed to be the responsibility of the federal govt. Since they're not acting on this very effectively, the states are taking the initiative...whatever will Congress do, on this one? Hmm....

we just can blame ourselves...because we as humans tend to have free will........ you can study history and you can see that people tend to immigrate from all over the world and for some reason they land here in America.
the first wave of immigrants happen when the Europeans came to America taking over Native American's land. starting around (1490s) ,when Cristobal Columbus set voyages to the new world,
-then (1620s) the Mayflower landed in the eastcoast.
- more Europeans immigration wave, i would say it happened at Ellis island (1892—1954)
-(1846-48) part of US belong to Mexico....Mexico lost it, the mexicans that were in the terretory lost stayed in the US.
-a few decades back the Mexicans, Central and South American people started to arrive to the US...thats why there was an immigration reform in the middle or late 1980s.
now a days...maybe there is a new immigration wave coming.... we will write history on it, for the future generation to come maybe they will understand from where they came from.

If the people who break the law-didn't( illegal )come in in the first place-than business would not hire them.
Because of the first law breakers-it allows greed in others to take advantage and hire them,
The first Law Breakers (the Illegals) in my book-is the biggest blame-than those that followed and took advantage (business). Than the government for not stepping in and enforcing laws.

So we are back to Bush bashing.
How quaint.
OF COURSE Clinton did all he could to make sure this problem was taken care in the 8 years he was in office.
Oh, no,wait, that was Monica he was taking care of not world peace, ending hunger, stopping the ILLEGALS.
Quit blaming it on the Republicans. They aren't the only politicians in office. They are just the only attempting to do something about it!

No, Ted in 1965. We went off the quota system and went on a merit system.
Do you believe that the people you are watching are here by their own merit? Cuz protesting for lawlesnness with an American Flag is disgusting.

The leaders in the countries where their from..
If they had a good economy in their country, they wouldn't migrate to a good country to work and support their families in their country.
Example.. If mexico had a good economy you won't see no illegal mexicans here in the US!
Its all about working, having a good job and supporting our families..
I wish I'm with my family in Philippines right now working.. Instead I have to put up with my white boss here in US!!
