That's funny because as I was reading this wuestiong I was biting the inside of my mouth...

IT is just like any other bad habit..cracking knuckles, bitting nails...
I do it when I'm bored (like right now) nervous...in thought...or just whenever...whenever I feel that need to do it..I just do it....

Anyway...it might be hereditary..my mom and sister do it too..lol..

it's kind of like biting your fingernails...it can be a habit done by people when they are nervous, frustrated, confused, or deep in thought.
