Am taking of ,when am on line and am charting with a guy,later the guy ask me where are you from?when i say nigeria ,they say bye.

because there are some many scams and so much fraud that comes out of Nigeria, and much of it is perpetrated through the use of email, chat, and messenger services like yahoo's

It probably is directly related to all the email scams claiming to be from Nigeria. When you think Nigeria that comes to mind first. So maybe people just assume your trying to scam them. It has nothing to do with being black.

dang.. that's mean! i don't know ... i know in general alot of the people i know are prejudice against africans as a whole...i met this guy online and chatted with him for a long long long time and he gave me a fake name until i met him in person because he said he was scared i wouldnt talk to him if i found out. But people are just prejudice like that, there are a few that are not though so dont feel bad ok? :-),

People don't like black people period. You need to be here to understand why.
Now I agree 100% with other posts - too many e-mail scams use Nigeria as their backdrop.

It's not you. It is probably that since everyone gets all the scam emails from Nigera, maybe they think you're a con-artist. I think they are called 419 scammers. That isn't right to assume that about someone anyway.
