thatguyjoe - The fact is, the Bible is #1. ALWAYS has been.(since, oh say, at leat five hundred years.) This is really something. Its because our creator has seen to it, to preserve it. Its popularity, is due to its inspiration by God.

Actually, I believe Lao Tzu's classic text the Tao te Ching comes very close in terms of number distributed, etc. It may also be quite close to the Bible with regards to the number of translations available.

I dont' know the number of copies, but Mao's Little Red Book. All adults in China had to own one, and there's a whole lot of chinese. As with the Little Red Book, though, number of copies distributed doesn't equate to how much truth there is in it.

The National Enquirer has a weekly circulation of 1.16 million. Doesn't mean that it isn't trash.
