Would part on the city be under water, which areas are affected ? Are there articles out there ?

At 6-9 feet the coastal areas would be under water. Manhattan would not be covered completely at all. It is not completely flat in the northern area.

This site will give you a look at different levels of rise in the NE especially NYC. Click on the meter rise levels and refresh.

1 Meter is about 3.3 feet. So even at 6 meters, about 20 feet of rise, most of Manhattan will still be there.

Based on the Global Warming Scare - that would mean death and destruction all over the place. No more New York, Los Angeles, or any other seaside city. For some reason the percentage of melt from the Ice caps would not fill in the areas of origin (ice caps) but would somehow raise the levels elsewhere with no net effect at the poles.

Only parts of the city, mostly Lower Manhattan would be subject to being flooded. Most likely they would have to build dikes as in the Netherlands where much of the country is below sea level.

That much water would put all of Manhattan under water
