Call the local hospital and ask for a nurse to help answer your questions. They do it all teh time and are generally a great help.

first calm down mom. A nureses opinion here.Could be very simple as teething some 1 year old show these systems.for the diarrhea i suggest have on hand pedi-a lyte you can mix in with his bottle sippey cup whatever he is drinking. offer him popscycles or if u have soft teething rings have them cool in the frig. Far as the vomiting yes sometimes they domayb here and there thru the day.offer soda crackers toast things of that sort for the rest of the day.if not improving over the next couple of days or gets a high temp over 100 than i would take him in the walk in clinic. sometimes they do get a slight temp or below normal like 96. dont worry mom. Doesnt sound like anything more 2 me.Relax..... GOODLUCK!

I hope you aren't even still at your house reading this responses...The common sense thing to do is to take him to a doctor..I'm not a mom and I know that much..use some common sense..get off the computer..and take your sick child to the doctor....diarrhea doesn't cause swollen gums...there might be something else wrong..and your child is at risk of becoming dehydrated if he has had these loose stools for a while...
Diarrhea is not a diagnosis..it is a symptom of underlying things...and you need to go to the doctor to find what the underlying cause is..he may just have a stomach bug..or something else..
Just take him to a doctor...Hope he is well..

I wouldn't rush him to ER or anything, he's probably teething. I have three children and those are all symptoms of teething, and if he's trying to cut molars or k-9's those take the longest and are the hardest to come to surface. So calm down he's not dying but if it will make you feel better give the advice nurse a call. Just make sure you give him lots of fluids so he doesn't dehydrate from the diarrhea. It's OK mama he's fine :)

He may simply be teething. Vomiting and diarrhea aren't unusual during this time and certainly swollen gums aren't unusual. But still you want to discuss it with the pediatrician, because you don't want the baby to get dehydrated.

If his gums are swollen he is probably teething and diarrhea is very likely so is vomiting Call your doctors nurse and tell her what is going on She is more then likely to tell you to watch his fever and if he starts to get one give him childrens tylenol. It's is nothing to be concerned with. Also make sure he is getting plenty of fluids give him pedealyte.

Questions about your children's immediate health needs should always be directed to your pediatrician. THey're used to 1st time moms. CALL NOW.
In the interim, could be teething, could be something else worse - could be a food allergy, could be a major infection, etc..

It really sounds like a teething issue. But PLEASE don't chance it just because someone sugests teething!! Call the doctor and describe the symptoms just to be safe!!And by all means, if you are still uncomfortable with what they tell you take him to the Emergency Room.

If his gums are swollen, then it is possible that a case of gingivitis has spread and become septic. He needs to be seen right away.
