For Chrissakes, why would any of them be interested in spying? They are too occupied in making a living. And yes, many are computer literate, educated illegals also enter USA looking for opportunities their country denies them.
Frankly there is no need to resort to spying when there is so much info available just by asking or looking it up on the web.
Paranoia does seem to be contagious.
