You have to wonder! Lots of studies show foods can prevent cancer and large doses of vitamin C thwart the common cold. But as a cause? I'd think it definitely contributes. Two years ago, I lost 40 pounds eating really healthy and exercising like a demon. I never got sick that whole winter. I'm still healthier overall. I think lots of factors cause a disease like cancer and viruses cause colds and flus, but what we eat helps make our immune system stronger to fight off these things.

Hearth disease and diabetes especially by diet, but yes, links have been made to cancer also. That's why the FDA has outlawed certain pesticides that were used in the past. Some of the additives, too, in quantity, over time, could also possibly be a culprit, not to mention the bovine growth hormone that was popular in recent past (don't know if they restricted it or not) that would be getting into meat and milk. You have sickness and even death from contaminated bagged salads. Sickness from e.coli contamination from meat processing plants. Sickness from hepatitis and others from sick food service workers. I'm sure there are many more instances.

well, 1/3 rd of americans are obese, there's sumthin definitely wrong. try including veggies, fruits, less of junk, beans etc.
