In my last question I was told atheists decide to go to hell by not believing in christianity. Christians chose not to believe what the romans did and were tossed in with the lions. So they chose to be eaten. Is that suicide?

No. That is called being a martyr of God. Great is their reward in heaven. That is choosing not to deny the Lord Jesus Christ. They gave their life for their faith in God.

Born again christians sometimes do commit suicide because they believe the lies of Satan. This grieves the Holy Spirit. That person gets to go to heaven, but they don't get the rewards that God wanted to give them.

Commiting suicide is killing self. Not when someone murders a christian for their faith.

The chose to be truthful. As we know, that making the right choice has a cost. In the situation that you mentioned, the cost was being tossed to the Lions. Yet, even with all those people being throw to the lions, Christianity thrived and survived at that time.

I don't know that I'd call either situation suicide, I think it's basing your behavior on your beliefs, the atheist believes God doesn't exist, sadly this is wrong, and so they in effect decide to go to hell by rejecting God. The Christians decided to obey God and not reject Him, and bc of that, the Romans killed them, that isn't suicide, it's basing their behavior on their beliefs, the same for the atheist.

IT'S MURDER The Christians didn't volunteer to die. They were forced to worship Ceasar or die for God. They show us commitment to God. I would die for God before I would worship some form of evil. I know I would Go to Heaven, now if I put a Gun to my head I would go straight to Hell. One of the ten commandments says thou shalt not kill. If you kill yourself how will you ask forgivness?
GOD BLESS YOU FOR ASKING A TUFF QUESTION

no in this case its martyrdom its dying for something you know is true. sacrifice for truth rather than selfish ending of your own life. they didnt want to be eaten by lions but it was better to die for the cause than to disgrace the truth they believe in.

NO - it means people chose NOT to be bullied into doing (believing) in something they chose not to believe in...Their pushishment was death... this is not suicide - it is "MURDER"

No, it's homicide. The Christians did not take their own lives, the Romans took them.
