Dogs can certainly get sunburned! Slick haired dogs as well as long haired that have been shaved. SPF lotions for babies can be used to help protect them, but the best thing is to be careful to keep them out of direct sunlight for long periods of time. Yes, aloe can be used if it seems to be bothering her. However, it is unlikely that she was burned only on her cheeks. That sounds more like a contact dermatitis from some kind of plant, etc. I'd watch it closely and if it isn't better in a day or so take her to see a vet.

Yes, unfortunately, it sounds like your dog did get a sunburn. Doggie sunburns are most common on the pink area on the snout, but they can also occur anywhere with short furs (like the cheeks or ears). If you're planning on having your dog out in the sun and she has lightcolored fur, it's best to put a little dab of mild, unscented, kid's sunscreen on her nose and anywhere else she gets burned.

Of course!!! Plus it can get burned everywhere. So my daughter boyfriend, who has a boxer, sprayed all around (except eyes and inside ear) It was the new Cooper Tan, and before they got into their house, Boxer got a bath.
Even if they get burned on their stomach, it hurts when they lay down, and alot people dont realize that.
Hope this Helps

Yes, dog and cats can sunburn. They can even get skin cancer. Try using natual aloe if you think that it is a sunburn. If the problem persists you should se a vet. Try this site for more info:

Sure they can. The fur and dark skin provide some protection, but not complete.
