Your mom is right. Dogs definitely DO sweat a little through the pads of their paws. Sometimes you can see damp paw prints on a dark tile floor. But most of their cooling comes from panting.

According to the Southwest Washington Humane Society, dogs and cats have sweat glands on their feet. Maybe they're wrong, but I would tend to believe what the Humane Society says about cats and dogs.

Never heard of a sweaty paw on a dog. Dogs don't sweat.

dogs cant sweat other then there toungeu that y they pant, every time you would have to sweat they pant. they dont have sweat gland other then pn there tongue and lips. there paws sometimes get wet and look like its sweat but dogs tend to use there paws to wipe off sweat from the tongue or sometimes step in water/ sweat puddles. so yeah your' moms rong, you are corect!

Yes they do - they only sweat out of the areas between the pads, thats why they have to pant.

Dogs don't sweat. Their fur acts as an insulator that keeps them cool and from sweating.

Dogs dont have sweat glands like we do, they pant to sweat, not out the bottom of their feet.
