I am about to be a freshman in high school in about a month. I have never had a bf or kissed a guy. Most guys like tall, thin girls w/ blonde hair and pretty eyes. Well I am fairly short (5'5-5'6), jean size 14 (yeah yeah yeah i know), green eyes, and I have light brown hair w/ blonde and red streaks in it. I am easily intimidated so I usually do ok when talking one-on-one, but in groups I tend to shy away and be kind of quiet. I live in a small town and go to a tiny school w/ only about 50 ppl in each grade so everyone knows at least everyone else's name. How can I get guys to like me, despite my looks and my shy personality? If u want to IM me with advice go ahead or just post it on here below. Thanx.

First remember their is someone for everyone. Sometimes the harder you look it's harder to find. Let the school year and social activities come to you by not forcing it. First figure out the type of guy you want set your standards. Don't set yourself up to date the first guy that says, ''hello". If you see someone you like make yourself available to be wherever they are at. They may get to notice you more than you think.

Don't worry about your looks: you sound like a lovely girl to me (I'm a middle-aged mother of 2).It's ok to be shy. If you aren't comfortable in groups, then don't put yourself into a situation in which you feel you can get easily embarrassed until you have more confidence.
If you try to come out of your shell a little at a time, say with just one or two people, and get more relaxed, then being in a bigger group won't seem so intimidating to you after awhile.
I only had 1 boyfriend in high school and didn't date much. You may be a "late bloomer," who knows? Living in a small town must be limiting to you.
Don't be worried. Tall, thin girls probably have their own insecurities.

i recognize it is somewhat major once you're 14 to have a guy like you. do not situation once you've under no circumstances been kissed or had a boyfriend. it is going to happen at the same time as the time comes. For now, get inquisitive about intense college. i do not recognize once you're fascinated in any activities yet it really is an striking position to satisfy new human beings. sure they're commonly women yet whats up...it is continually impressive to have better friends. If activities are not your element... take drama... this will also help you meet new human beings besides as help you get better out of your worry of speaking in communities. The better you position your self available (like accomplishing out to new human beings and speaking in communities) the better likely someone will be conscious you. i develop into merely like you at that age, even if i did not care about having a boyfriend... obviously, to satisfy the folk you choose to satisfy you've gotten to be the only to achieve out.

OK you're going to have to overcome your shyness.
Use every chance you get to touch them on the arm or put your hand on their shoulder. It will get their attention and make them feel special.
Do things like poke them in the back of the knee with your toe, (it's annoying but you'll get their attention and that's what you want) then smile at them.
Annoy them, pester them, drive them nuts. You need the attention any way you can get it.
Tickle them, poke them, trip them up, pull their hair anything you can think of.
But the most important thing is to smile while you are doing it. Then they no that you're just having fun with them and you're not doing it out of malice.
Act like a jerk and a smart alec say things with a sexual double meaning. for example if they're holding a pen say, "nice pencil" while looking at their crotch and then look up point at the pen and say, "not a bad pen either".
Do whatever it takes to get their attention and to get them thinking things like, "that was weird, I think she likes me or something"
Let them know that you're a woman, you're fun and are sexual. In other words flirt. Even exagerate it to the point it's ridiculous and laugh at yourself while having fun doing it.
Trust me your a girl and you will SO be able to get away with all of this stuff and the guys will love it. I wish I could do this stuff and get away with it.
It's all about getting their attention and having fun with it while making them see you as a sexual being rather than just one of the guys.

Cause people are afraid to have sex w/ a 14 year old because of the stupid laws of this country.
You have to convince guys that you'll never tell anyone if you have sex. And use condoms so you don't get pregnant.
It comes down to that or maybe you're just butt f-ing ugly.
