Ive had nose bleeds since i was a kid. its the blood vessels in the nostril that are weak. I had both nostrils cauterised when i was 12 and I'm waiting for the hospital to call be back to get it done again. my mother and grandmother also had the same thing. I could just be walking down the street and it starts. very inconvenient especially at work! might have 4 nose bleeds in one day or might have 1 nosebleed a month. no regular pattern.

My 7 year old son had a really bad one today and i was thinking maybe it was because it was so stuffy and dry in his bedroom. I would imagine most kids have them through picking their noses.

This is very common in many kids, its perfecly ok, its just a natural release. I f it continues later in life then you can have a medical quaterize to solve the problem, dont worry about it.

Dry air could be the problem. My brother use to get them and the dr reccomended using a humidifier.
