It would really depend on the type of round you are using, and I wouldnt use an M2 .50 cal, you may want to consider the same question while using a .50cal rifle, and if you are using Ball or AP rounds. Then you'll have to consider the density of a human head, take that all into account and you may find that with the ball round, you may only be able to accuratley penetrate 5 or 6 human heads before the round is skewered off. With an AP round, you may find that it may pass through 10 or even up to 20 human heads before being deflected. This due to the higher density of the round.

Well, i would hope these would be 30 terrorist you speak of and not Iraqi citizens, because if they were citizens and i saw you preparing for such a thing, American or not, I'd shoot you first! What if i were to line up 30 monolith's together ear to ear. Then shoot a bullet from the first ear and watch it pass through the last one, do you think i'd hit anything? (just a thought)

basically like Germany and Italy weren't in touch in Pearl Harbor. yet we whipped those 2 until now we took out Japan. to boot, i grow to be getting pissed on the Iraqis firing off SAMS for the duration of patrols of the No Fly Zone.

OK , if it is 30 Iraqis, it wont work... thay are hard headed.
It will work though, if it was 30 like you, including you at the rear, ... at the very rear.... the rearest possible !!! with your mouth wide open... Do you need a drawing ? spearhead !!!

a .50 bmg i would say would go through 15-25 of their heads but not all 30 of them

Probably not. I would gurantee about the first three, but after that, bullet tumble would make it unpredictable.
