Since my cousin is in Iraq I've become involved in Operation MOM. Operation MOM is an organization thats sends packages to Allied troops wherever in th world (mainly in the Middle East). This does NOT mean we support the war or Bush, we do this for the troops and their confort and safty. It's not easy being away from family more or less also being shot at every day and worrying about roadside bombs. You can visit www.operationmom.org Please help anyway you can. These troops are fighting for you even if you don't beleive in the cause. Thank You.

Thank you for posting that. I have a family member there in Iraq and his friends are always asking if we can help them out to, so we do the best we can. But yes they all need help. So many are there with out any help. I send boxes of socks and underwear monthly! plus other things too but he says they just toss those because its to hard to get to a washer. God Bless Our Troops!

Jesus... they do get paid you know... and they have families who can send them stuff..... whether I do or don't support the war is neither here nor there...

When I give to charity its for deserving causes, like the victims of war generally the poor civilians caught up through no fault of their own and lose all of their possessions.

Unless I'm wrong, I'm pretty sure that military personnel are paid, and are provided food, water, medical and other benefits...

I'm actually offended that such a thing exists.... I pay my taxes to support the army/airforce/navy as well as other agencies.... I'm not giving anymore.

I agree with sexykells, and those who think she is wrong are probably just Americans who's opinion doesn't matter to me.

I give regularly to Unicef and the Make a Wish Foundation, in my opinion are deserving charities.

These men have families, if i had a family member serving in Iraq then of course I would help them out as its personal to me.

But for others to go begging cap in hand to ordinary people for people who yes, maybe stuck in conflict, but are cared for with their basic human rights catered for is wrong, especially when there are children starving to death in Darfur, children dying in Lebanon and Israel, and even children living with abuse in my own country, I feel there are much more deserving causes.

Sorry this does not get my support.

I support our troops. Sure they get paid, but they need mental support. http://www.letssaythanks.com/ is something we can do that costs NOTHING but a few minutes. It just lets them know they're being thought of while in Iraq! We go on with our lives while they're fighting war. This is the least we can do! I'll post your link on my 360º page. Thanks for sharing.
