follow your heart.... if you really like somebody, don't miss the opportunity. or else it may not come back again. don't regret what you do. if you really thinks that both of you cant get together den don't. but age isn't a very big deal if you truly love him.

Ok, here's the deal. Four years from now when you're 17 seems like an eternity. I know. BUT unless you want to go to jail and have to spend the rest of your life as a registered sex offender, PLEASE for the love of God, wait. Wait, wait, wait. I know that when you're 17, you're feelings can overwhelm you. Just try to be friends and cut back on the talking every day. In 4 years when he's 18 and you're 21, you can get together. AND, you CAN date now if his parents and yours are cool with it- JUST DO NOT SLEEP WITH HIM. You will go to jail! You seem like a really nice girl who is just pretty mixed up right now.

My husband is 8 1/2 years younger than me. We met when I was 29 and he was 21. Been together for over 6 years now and we are more in love today than the day we married. It can work. Just wait to consumate the relationship until you are both legal.

And btw- I have a 14 year old son who I still consider a little boy. I know that if he were in love with a girl who was 17 and he slept with her, I wouldnt hesitate to prosecute her- even if she was a good girl. I would want to protect my son at all costs. Even at the cost of the girl he loves. His maturity is of no consequence. His age means he cant legally consent to sex. So dont go there. Not yet. Best of luck!

men and women mature at different rates, normally a 14 year old would not be as mature as you at 17. but i think the waiting idea is a really good idea. I'm sure there is someone your age you will find that you like, but I know there are some 14 year olds that are hot as well. (didn't look 14).. and i was like 20 when i thought so, haha. i would never have done anything of course, cause gross... but it is possible. just wait like you said. it will probably go away by then.

Well for starters you can't help who you have feelings for, so don't feel bad for it.

Secondly, the rape laws are different in every state... not that you're planning sexual activities with him or anything.. but you mentioned something about him being 21 before you'd date him. Check into your state's law.. I'm pretty sure it's only like 18. (But I could be wrong!)

Thirdly, how do you not know this boys age? Doesn't he look 14? Most 14 year old boys LOOK 14. Or is this an online relationship?

Well, at any rate, don't feel bad for liking this boy.. the heart wants what the heart wants :)

Good luck doll.
