is your cat fixed? if not, he could be territorial. outside of that, you may just need to make an indoor cat out of him.

my cat also got beat up two nights ago. He is only 10 months old. He is an inside cat but I do let him out of the house on to the back porch. a neighbor cat came into our yard and got my cat good. I had to take him to the vet for meds and advice. My cat IS a wimp, but that's because I keep him in most of the time and only let him out during the day time.

when he get the crap kicked out of him by other cats, the bites and scratches that he gets from them can hurt him. cat bites carry a staff that can lead to a BAAAAAAD infection. my mom's male is fixed but when he was younger he'd still get into fights with other cats. he got beat up so bad one time that he lost his tooth from a bite that the other cat gave him. it swelled up and had a staff infection that the vet had to drain it and my mom had to stick the antibiotic ointment INTO the hole where the infection was. it's a sad thing to see your cat get beat up so bad that he has an infection that can threaten his life. if your cat is getting torn up out there, i'd make him an indoor cat. it will add years to his life but cutting down on infections and the chance that he could be hit by a car or attacked by a dog or another animal that is bigger than him.

Do not let him out if he comes back bloody. Take him to the vet so they can fix his wounds. Ypur cat is not a whimp he just isn't good at fighting. Are you telling everyone that you want your cat to fight other cats? I mean your cat could do serious damage to other cats. Kepp your cat in. I mean thanks for putting peace in the world ......

Oooh, don't let him out, or at least make him stay in the yard some how. I know that cats love the outdoors because my mom loves cats. Just be carefull of the little whipper-snapper. Ha, good luck!

no...look at this in a child/human way ....your cat/son goes out to play with some other kids...they fight with him...he comes home and you wonder why he's so bloody and scratched...you ask him he give you an attitude then later on he starts being nice to you....do you think you want your cat/son to play with those other cats/kids

Sounds like whimpy kitty needs to be a house kitty, otherwise he could get really hurt and you could end up with big vet bills.

If your cat is getting hurt, why on earth would you let it out again? You're responsible for your animal, take care of it.

your cat is just being a cat. let it enjoy life for a while, then neuter it. our cat is neutered but she stills goes outside and hunts, so i think its their own unique personality.
