Yes it is. Some people understand the fact that platonic relationships are real and therefore can have relationships with the opposite sex based on friendship with no (or minimal) sexual undertones.

I know for a fact that it can happen. I have a guy friend that is my best frinend. We have dated on and off for nine years up until i got married a year and a half ago. we have a son together and we have moved away from each other and moved back to our home town where we both live now several times and yet we still talk and hang out. He has even become great friends with my husband. It is entirely possible for straight men and straight women to be friends. It all depends on their maturity levels.

Generally, yes. All of my best friends since I was 21 are guys. I will say we went through several situations where I had a crush on one of them or they had one on me. We got through all of that, and reallized it was just because we really cared about each other. I am happy to say that most of them are married and still my friends. The ones that aren't married still contact me out of state. They even came to my wedding and they really get along with my husband. I think it can be a little tougher sometimes, but they are the only friends I ever had that didn't stab me in the back or treat me with disrespect.

No, not for me. All of my straight guy friends either ended up liking me, I liked them, we liked each other, ended up in a relationship or had sex. And the last male friend I had ended up marrying me, so I say no.

Course it is, some people are sexist and think that guys shouldn't hang with girls. Guys are just as good as friends as girls. In some areas better. It's a different outlook on things.

Yes. I have several guy friends that I have grown up with. We think of each as brothers and sisters. It's very nice. However many of their girlfriends get jelous of our relationships even though we have no interest in that way.

Yes, if that's what you both want. My best, best friend is a total hottie guy. We started to get the "I wonder if..." sexual tension thing, so we decided to get it out of the way. Laughed ourselves ridiculously silly and it has never come up again.

Sure it's possible but it's also possible that at somepoint one person or both people will feel attracted to the other. Insticts.
