It could be the accident, especially if you escaped without serious injury, and if anyone else got hurt, sometimes (I know it sounds weird) people feel guilty that they did not get injured and someone else did. Have you felt depressed before- if so what did you do to overcome it? Could you talk to a friend, even a councellor, there is nothing wrong in seeking help. It is better to talk before it gets worse. Did you go to hospital for check up after the accident? Maybe it'd be a good idea if you have not already been there.

It was probably the recent car accident. I, myself, have been a witness to a car accident recently. It really brought out introspective thought about my own mortality and how I need to do something about my life. The recent car accident experience could be in your sub conscious like others posted earlier..especially if you or someone else got injured. This is normal. Now, if the depressed mood or worry persists for more than two weeks...I would suggest seeing someone about it perhaps a psychologist or counselor just to sort out your thoughts.

It may be your subconscious mind which causes you to reflect the negative effect of the accident. Have you been on any recovery drug towards that? Any drug given to you by the doctor after the accident? Some drugs, particularly pain killers and steroids may have side effects of depression. Many at times depression is the side effect of many drugs. The reason behind that maybe unknown but it might be believed that certain drugs counter react with the psychosomatic nerves in our brain and causes some reflective disturbances, hence inbalances happen and may cause depression. It's very neurologically in depth in concern with pharmaceutical but i believe if the depression persists, seek a doctor or a psychiatrist. This does not mean you're screwed, you're not. A psychiatrist majors in mental health fitness and depression is one of the areas concerned. Have you had your period recently? Depression may be linked with many ie pre-menstrual-syndrome (PMS), post-natal depression, grieving depression and such which at many times they cannot be explained. Have you been feeling really bad about the accident? Think about it. Self reflections may bring forth certain negative values, hence causing depression. Hope this helps.

the experience of the accident you were in is coming out in a sub conscious way. Your mind may bee put the whole happening in a place, made the experience understandable or is still bussy doing that, while you suffer now from certain emotional ways of feeling. Worries, dreams, depression. If you would channel your worries, which is making contact with your spirit, and cultivate your sub conscious feeling, think of expressing yourself in creative way you could change your emotional state and not feel that way. So if you write a poem, paint a painting, make some music, meditation. Or just a mixture of things. And see your body in this way.
1 My mind is my hard drive, a computer, if i feel fear it's because my mind makes me believe certain things.
2 My spirit is me, it's who i am, it's important to know if your spirit is fine with all the things you do.
3 Our drives (hunger, sex,...)not relevant in this subject

Depression comes very randomly. It might be caused from the car accident, or you might feel alone in some way. Try to find what's causing it and then fix it asap.

Faith and love only comes to those who god favors.
A year ago my ex-girlfriend and I were drinking and fighting. We both had been sober in AA before, but we started drinking together.
Anyway, she left me almost 1 year to the day today. We both went back to AA. Because she's a pretty girl lots of people rallied around her to support. All the men wanted to sleep with her, and some of them convinced her to do it.
She's sober, happy, and has a new boyfriend - my old sponsor. Go figure huh?
I went back the same day. No one shook my hand. No one said hello. No one welcomed me except during the obligitory 'hi bill' at all AA meetings.
I have not made a single friend. The people who I thought were my friends, are hers. Many of the men I used to hang out with have either dated her or tried to.
Tommorow, the her actualy anniversary, I have decided to hang myself at right around the time she left.
God does play favorites. Maybe god doesn't like you either.
