My husband and daughter have very brittle hair. We have pretty much tried everything. We have found that Finesse Moisturizing Conditioner works really well. We also use Finesse 2 in 1 Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner. I also know that the Coconut Oil that you find at Indian markets works well. In fact, they carry many hair oils that are made for dry hair. Good Luck!

Yes, try a can of stale beer as a rinse it makes your hair really soft. Also you can save rainwater and it will do the same thing. You can also use about a tablespoon of real mayonaise. Rub it onto your hair then place a plastic cap or a warm towel over your hair. Leave it on all night or a couple of hours works great!

A little trick that is very cheap...

take 2-3 eggs, get rid of the yokes, and rub the whites into your hair while in the shower, and turn the shower head away from you as you bath the rest of your body.

Hair is 100% protein, and so are egg whites...if you look at the ingredients in shampoo, one of the main ones is protein. How MUCH you are willing to pay for it is up to you...

good luck!

I love Redken Shampoos and conditioners(all soft and smooth down). Aveda is excellent for your hair. Also Biolage is good too. But if you want something less expensive. I would go with Pantene, especially the smooth and sleek.

i don't know that homemade shampoo and conditioner are the best thing to use because it could damage or it just may not work i would use Dove Shampoo and Conditioner or 2in1 Dove Shampoo and Conditioner, that is what i use and it helps my hair and my hair is dry, thick, and sensitive

I have just purchased a nice product by Panteen Pro V. It is called something like "Breakage Defense" If you have ever used the condition that comes in hair color, you know that it is good, this product is about the same. Cost is only about $9.00 (Canadian). And you can get it at the drug store or Wal-Mart.
