A long time ago a Born Again told me that the end was marked when we are able to cash out of lines at the store by ourselves, that this was the mark of the wild beast. also, what is the rapture? Are we all going to be taken up to space?

My father is a born again christian and I have learned this...

EVERYTHING IS A SIGN. Paranoia is why fundamentalists cling to the teerorstorm we are going through. I am christian, but not fundamentalist and am waiting on all signs from Revalation.

Dan. chap 7 and 8 describes a beast system that will be the last empire (Rome) rebuilt... What went on in Rome, well we all know about goddess worship now called wicca, and the homosexuality, and hatred toward Christians, which were all prevelant in Rome... We know the sciptures of the 'beginnings of all sorrows,' in Mathew, and of course the description of the four horses of the apoc. , and the book of revelations description of the great whore riding in on the beast... Upon the whore's forehead is stated "mystery babylon the great the mother of all harlots and abominations to the earth, she will be drunken with the blood of Christians and marytrs for Jesus." Rev. Well, if the statement is mystery Babylon, what is that mystery religion spoken of here that comes in when the beast does... Well, where babylon was was the symaritan religion, goddess worship... Same as in Rome. It's clear that the new age movement is a sign of the end times with wicca and goddess worship coming back into the play as it has. As far as the homosexuality in Rome, again in Daniel it is mention that the anti-christ will lack the desire for a woman... He will be a homosexual.

I am a believer in the rapture of the church. I know there are some Christians who do not believe in a pre-tribulation rapture, but I do. I don't think born again Christians will be here to see the "mark of the beast"....which will be in the forehead or hand (possible a microchip of some sort) and without which, no one will be able to buy or sell (as you described).

When the church is taken out of the world, much like a house of cards, the world will begin to collapse. The anti-christ will be able to come forth and will be marvelled at for his ability to make peace everywhere. People will believe his signs and wonders and follow him. Three and one half years later, he will stand in the temple and demand to be worshipped as God. That begins the latter three and one half years, known as the tribulation, the wrath of God poured upon a Christ-rejecting world.

In other words, if you are a born again believer in Christ, there is absolutely nothing to worry about, we will not be here for the worst of it. Look around you...this is as close to hell as you will ever get. (And frankly, it's close enough for me!)

2 Timothy 3:1-7

"This know also, that in the LAST DAYS perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women burdened with sins, led away with divers lusts,

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."

No, the rapture is this, read:
2 Peter 3

"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

And they say, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers died, all things stay the same as they were from the beginning of the creation.

But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and death of ungodly men.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

(KEY VERSE)

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."

Seeing then that all these earthly things shall be dissolved, so you should be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Nevertheless we, according to God's promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness dwells."

Basically, if you're not saved, when Jesus comes back to take the Christians, you'll be left behind in a world headed for utter destruction. It sounds harsh, but it's the truth.

After the rapture the saved will be sent to heaven with God and those who werent saved will be taken over by the anti-christ unless you decide to turn your life around in the 7 years left on earth. it will be hard do to that because everyone will be out against you and you will need to have the mark of the beast to survive. after those 7 years earth will be gone. but if you are a real believer and obey God you won't go throught the tribulation.
If I didnt make myself clear you might want to look into the Left Behind series and the Book of Revelation in the Bible.

Whether the world is going to end or not depends on your perspective on faith, current events, spirituality, and the like. The whole thrust of the Bible narrative points to a scenario that runs quite on the opposite direction: it's actually the New Jerusalem coming to down to earth so that God may dwell with/in God's people. I find this picture more encouraging that the devastating picture US fundamentalists are so fond of.

It exchange right into a famine that led the youngsters of Israel to Egypt the place they have been in bondage till there deliverer got here. Our famine has the church in bondage to religious Egypt and our deliverer is coming....is the Lamb's blood on your doorpost? The famine is a famine for the listening to of the words of the Lord. Preachers have been heaped up with the aid of itching ears of their congregations. It has no longer something to do with the production of any translation of the Bible. Mormons are worse than maximum others and actually are unlikely to unravel the undertaking. God will resolve it with the aid of allowing Pharaoh to rigidity Christians to bow down and serve him or be no longer able to purchase or sell. Peace

The end of the world according to the bible is when Jesus comes back. Just before that satan impersonates Jesus return. Many will be fooled. Now is a good time to study the bible. Many places in the world have no bible. The vast majority of the world has no access to a bible in their house. Take advantage of the blessings God has provided you and study the bible.
