My kids want me to "loosen the reigns" a little more each year. They may "think" I'm not looking after them as much as I was the year before. But I love them so much that I can give them a little freedom and still look after them at the same time. The moment they decide they need me again....I will be there. God is the same.

Yes, it is possible to reach a state where God will abandon you to your own devices. This usually results in some form of madness and would be guaranteed to be unplesant, but since you would be in a fantasy of yoru own choosing, you may not be able to be conscious that God had withdrawn His grace from you. Reference the Bible, Romans, Chapter 1.
However, if God has know you since before you were born, before He laid the foundations of the world, then it woul d be nearly impossible.
"And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day." - Jesus Christ (John 6:38-40)
I suggest that you get to know the real God before you make any rash decisions.

No because he says he will never leave you nor forsake you:)...He will always love you and care for you no matter how you feel about him. Be careful what you ask for though because one day you might be put in a position where you might just need him....and he may just let you go as far as you can take it.....but guess what he will most definitely show up on time.....because he is sooooooooo loving :). But you need to know that you need him always.

In other words, you would become a Christian.

I feel idea of God differes from person to person & religion to religion.God is your essence. you are living in & through God. Infinite Truth, Infinite Existance & Infinite Bliss is its Nature. One cant exist even for a second if that pure one is not blessing you with life. You see though him. You feel through him. You sense external world through him. If you want to ralise this, turn within and realise that you your(self) are Gods grace. Turn within. Then these kind of questions will least bother you.

He will never stop looking at you, He will keep his distance.

When we dont want nothing to go with God we shouldn't be surprised or start blaming Him when something goes wrong in our life.

Nope. You can never truly get away from God.

His sun (S-U-N) rains on the just and the unjust and the spiritual sun is very real.

This is somewhat of a conundrum.

Since God doesn't answer prayers (whywontgodhealamputees.com), can he answer this one and thus stop answering them altogether? Ahhhhhhhhh!!!
