I am LDS because I know it is true despite what others may tell you. I have been able to find answers to most if not all of the questions and "problems" raised by the critics. Even if it is occasionaly "have faith and I don't know." I do know it's true. Each time I've struggled with an issue, I have always been able to resolve it by one means or other. The Holy Ghost has born witness to me of the truthfulnss of it. Gal 5:22-23.

I am Mormon. I love it! I have a great relationship with Jesus Christ who is the usually the center of my life (I do mess up, just like everyone else) I've studied the Church's principles and doctrines. I've prayed about them, and I know that they are true. This is not blind faith. I have looked at what others say about the church, and I've never come across anything that isn't easily explained. Most of what is said about our church is either false, or wrested until it is almost unrecognizable.

I am an ex. I never wanted to be mormon, but thats the religon my family grew up around. My mom thought it would be good to get me and my brother involved in that religon to fit in, cuz everyone in my neighborhood was mormon. I was also baptized. As I grew older I didn't like it. My mom and dad got devorced so obviously my mom didn't go, and my dad never went to church. I didn't have a problem with it cuz I hated going. My brother and I still had to go sometimes cuz our dad made us, which I don't uderstand. We didn't follow any of the mormon "rules" I am 15 right now, and my dad understands that we don't like going or being part of that religon. I don't go to church, and I don't consider myself a Mormon. I didn't like it because I wanted to live my life how I wanted to. I don't like what they said you had to do to be "holy" or closer to god. I wanted to watch what I wanted, llisten & read what I wanted. I wanted to dress the way I wanted. It was just never fun for me. I personally don't think it is a very good region.

Ex-Mormon. The LDS church doesn't understand finances, the trinity or false books when they seem them. Other than that, they seem to know vaguely that Jesus Christ is important and that marriage beyond death is real.

I left the Mormon church when I was 17 because the Bishop couldn't answer my questions, and he said his wife knew more about the BIble than he did. I left because I read books that told me things about the religion that no one else would tell me. I left because it is not a Christ-centered church; there was no teaching about Jesus Christ, no crosses, and no personal relationship with Jesus. And I left because I wanted to be reconciled to God; the Bible tells us to be, but the Mormon church can't offer that.

Eph 2:16
And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby *:

Col 1:20
And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
1:21
And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
1:22
In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

These verses are an offense to Mormons and we don't need to wonder why:

1Co 1:18
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

I have some friends that their entire family left after they were told that one of their family members was demon posssesed by their church elders just because they converted to another religion. They were told to not have anything to do with their family member anymore. They decided that was a little much and all left.
