Given that definition (you can easily trace the source if you want to :) ) - how can theists be proud of their "faith".

I'm proud not to have a faith, because that makes me the main doer of my own life, and I'm free from manipulation by organised religions.

Well Faith & Pride are the words that dont go together. Well If you have faith in something then it is just to remove pride which is actually cause of suffering & Pride will not allow your faith to stabilize. Pride is reaction of ego as a doer. Pride comes as a claim. And claimis root cause of suffering. So when you have faith it is to remove Pride, Lust, Anger, Envy, Illusion, Jealousy etc. which are the root cause of suffering and due to which Peace in day to day living is blocked.

Because my faith gives me strength to make it thru the bad times as well as the good.. I have alot of stress and disappointment in my life..I have to have a positive influence in my life to balance it..I believe in my religion..no matter what.. It makes me a better person..Life is so full of challenges every single day..how can you keep your sanity if you have no faith??
