You make a very valid point that a lot of people ignore. The people responsible for those civilian casualties are not the people firing the weapons that have unintentionally killed civilians, but are the terrorists using the civilians as shields while they fire their missiles and guns.
Once thing we need to remember is that Hizbollah is a sanctioned organization in Lebanon. The Lebanonese government will not stand up to them, because Hizbollah has public support. That would be like our government attacking the NRA. So, if we cannot expect the Lebonese government to police this terrorist organization, then we must support the Israelis as they defend themselves, and create a barrier against the Hizbollah's attacks on the Israelis civilian population.
Another thing we need to remember is that the terrorist organizations are very media savy. They will use our own peace protestors against us. They will hide behind civilians, and when those civilians are killed - they will inevitably lead the cameras right to the scene, so that the world will see the results. They rely on those elements of society to decry these attacks, and they rely on the peace process to pull the military troops back so that they can declare victory. It has happened many times before - anyone remember Mogadishu? They are fighting a guerilla war, against vast odds that they can't hope to win without stirring up public resentment against the military forces they oppose.

Terrorism generally has four criteria:
- acts of violence
- acts designed for psychological impact and fear
- perpetrated for a political goal
- deliberate targetting of non-combatants
By that definition, yes, Hezbollah are certainly terrorists. But something else is worth mentioning too - by that definition, the state of Isreal is also a terrorist state. Consider:
They certainly have committed acts of violence. About ten Lebanese citizens die for every one Israeli. They certainly seem to be deliberately targetting non-combatants - the U.N. Secretary General recently accused them of intentionally striking an unarmed observation post. They likewise have targetted numerous relief convoys, buses full of children, and the like. What possible point could these targets have other than to sow fear and terror?
Isreal has stated what they want: They want their prisoners of war released. That's a good motive. Striking out at everyone in the area in order to get it done is not even vaguely a good way to do it. Given that they don't even know where the prisoners are held, one wonders why they are not concerned about accidentally flattening a building that contains them... perhaps their supposed goal is less important to them then sowing large-scale fear and terror among their enemies.
That is why people are worried about civilian casualties. It is precisely that which makes Isreals motives suspect and their methods loathsome. Nobody objects to a wronged person getting redress for their wrongs - but these civilians have wronged no one. THEY are the victims here.

The jabber is mainly from arabs, trying ti make Israel look bad. They don't get it. Most of the world knows the arabs started this conflict to begin with so, know matter what they say, we already know they're lying. This is what they do best, lie!
It's kind of like the story about the boy who cried wolf. We've stopped listening to their whining and lying, so maybe they will get smart and realize that the world knows their tactics and no longer listens to them. Maybe it's time the Hezbollah withdrew from Lebanon before Israel totally annihilates them.

It will only end when the common man and woman say "enough" and take up arm against terrorist as well. A uniformed army will have a hard time fighting cowards that use civilians as sheilds unless the said shield pimp slaps the terrorist and does not invite them into their homes.
Update- So should we take a lesson from Hezzbollah, here is how they fight a war:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060728/ap_on_re_mi_ea/lebanon_israel_540;_ylt=AkpbzRLu3z8_Hb_qCN60Pu4UvioA;_ylu=X3oDMTBiMW04NW9mBHNlYwMlJVRPUCUl
Israel is fighting the war the best they can, and are targeting strategic military targets, not hospitals liek the Hezzbollah, bastards.

I think the US refined it's definition of civilians being killed in a time of war or during times of conflict. The United Nations has taken issue with civilians dying during these times due to soldiers in past torturing and killing civilians. To many, civilians are 'innocent' bystanders whereas soldiers are trained to be in wars and operate guns and war machinery.

Nobody wants innocent people killed. That is nobody but the terrorists who hide behind them. The terrorists are waging a PR battle and using innocent people to do it.
A word to all people if you see terrorists tell the authority's where to get them.

two reasons
1) there are always some people who believeany kind ofwar is wrong and look for any reason to prove their point
2) it is very easy to criticize a war that you are notinvloved in.
you did not see France or Russia complain about carpet bombing of Germany.
The germans and italians did not complain about the carpet bombing of London.
Its very easy to criticize when you have no stake in the outcome.

I agree with you. Some people think that we live in a perfect world and that we can try talking to the terrorist for world peace. It just doesnt happen that way!! People just dont understand that in order to protect ourselves and to make sure our families arent the ones being blown up, we have to do it to them.
