you are on 42nd strret; go down to 34th street and take the LIRR to Jamacia, where there is the monorail to the terminals.

to get from the Bus Station to the LIRR you can take the subway, bus or taxi; if if little luggage, walk

two hours is plenty of time. like the other folks said....go to penn...lirr....monorail. its a bit of changing but its actually pretty quick. i've done it in about 45 minutes...if you make the connections.

If you don't want to do all that changing (especially if you have luggage.) you can take an express bus from Port Authority to JFK

Here is the website...

There is a bus that leaves Port Authority at 11:20 and arrives at JFK at 12:45. At that time of day, traffic should not be too bad, so that would leave you with a few minutes to spare.

The bus cost $15.

Alternatively, you can take a taxi. Again, at that time of day, it should be about 1 hour. The cost would be maybe $50....

Of course, you may take a cab (metered fare, with toll, about 50$), it'll take about 1hr. You can also take the airport shuttle, it's cheaper than the cab, (15$, one way) but I think you have to check the hours , it's on 42nd right out of the Bus station.

it is doable. take a cab from port authority (at 42nd st) to penn station (at 34th) then take any lirr train from penn station to jamaica ($3 city ticket on weekends only...if you buy it at a kiosk in penn station) and then the air train from the jamaica station to jfk ($5 which you buy at jamaica when you enter the air train area). the trip to jamaica is like 20 min and the air train to jfk is like 15 depending on which terminal you are going to.
