Oh, now I'm a racist because I made an observation. It would have been racist if I called him "a white, cracker-*** honkie" There, is that racist enough for you?

Yup, strange isn't it. Americans are so ego-centric, they can't even understand that.

I don't really believe Jesus was THE Messiah, but I do believe there might have been such a man. Go check out the letters of Pontius Pilate to the Caesar, Tiberius Caesar I think. He describes Jesus as a real peaceful man, with gossamer blond hair, pale blue eyes, holding himself as a Rabbi in attitude - a teacher, basically. Just a point to check out.... But that would say that he is not a Middle Easterner, but most likely a Indo-European. And if you study the lost tribes, even modern Jewish Rabbis believe that the Celtic peoples are descendants of those tribes.

Absolutely. During the Renaissance, when the Catholic Popes ruled the armies and the governments, artists were forbidden to depict Jesus Christ as anything but white.

Michelangelo defied the Pope, however, and painted the Sistine Chapel with God and Jesus as "darker skinned" and with physical characteristics of the Jewish People. Those bodies that were unclothed on the ceiling, were all circumcised, which was also to the dismay of the Catholic Church.

Jesus was born Hebrew by a Hebrew Mother. I would think that if Mary had raised a Caucasian child, people would have been screaming for both their deaths while Jesus was still a small child.

For the ignorant in this section:
"Jews are white"
Jews are white TODAY because of blood mixing with white races over many hundreds of years. People in Israel are more of European and white descent than of real middle-eastern descent. So no, "jews are white" is a stupid statement. There are many white muslims as well. Do you say muslims are white? There are many dark christians. Do you say christians are dark? Being jewish and being white are two distinct orthogonal characteristics. If you know math you would know what I mean. Being of a particular faith HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ethnicity. So jews can be white, black, tan, yellow, green, purple, red and any other color.

"Jews are not Arabs"
Again! Arab is a descriptor of ethnicity. Jew is a descriptor of faith. I don't see a reason why an Arabic person cannot be jewish. Yes, Islam is the predominant religion in that part of the world. BUT BEFORE ISLAM CAME ABOUT those same people were probably JEWISH !!!
Read history much?

Jewish people from the west look white because they have had centuries of blood mixing with white people. (One of the reasons why Hitler wanted to get rid of them!)

Anthropologists were asked to come up with their best guess as to what a Jewish man of that time might have looked like; and they came up with this: http://www.liberalslikechrist.org/jesushead.jpg

I don't know what pictures you are looking at, but I haven't seen any blonde haired Jesus pictures. Jesus was a Jew. Most of the pictures I see he is depicted as a Jew( although I have seen a few as him as a *****). Most Jews are not dark skinned or Mediterranean looking. All the Jews I had ever know personally have been fair skinned. Arabs are not Jewish, in fact most Middle Easterners are not Jewish. Where are you from to be seeing blonde Jesus pictures?

If you read the bible, God created man to his own image. Any ethnic group that believe in Jesus and the bible choses to believe that Jesus looks like them. There is no harm in that. We should understand Jesus's teachings and what he stood for, and not worry about what he looked like, how he smelled, did he go to the bathroom in the desert without toilet paper, etc.
And yes he did exist, the question is did he cause miracles and was he relly the son of God. To me that also does not matter. He was a great teacher, with very good things to say, so much so that 2000 years later we are still discussing it.

Jesus is Jewish have you not realized that Jews dont have a certain race, you cant define Jews by the way they look. Did you see Passion of the Christ or The Gospel of John or The Miracle maker or Jesus of Nazareth. All these depictions of Jesus were tanned with dark hair. For all I cared Jesus looks American to me.

Jesus was a Jew and at that time they were as dark as any Arab, who are of the same blood as you must know since they all descended from Abraham. the Jewish people only became lighter after their living in Europe for so many generations. Jews from Yemen still look very Semitic. One description of Jesus was swarthy with very coarse curly hair. people just don't want to face his Judaism and Jewish looks. it offends their prejudices. if Jesus came back he would go to temple not a christian church.

Yeah, and in the Bible it describes him as having hair of lamb's wool... Ever looked at a lamb? People I have asked this to have written it off as meaning he had white hair, but I just don't think that is what the description means, I think it is talking about the texture and curliness of wool, which makes a whole lot more sense given the part of the world he was in. Not to mention that not all lambs are white, but the kind of hair they have is all the same...and If he had hair of lambs wool, I think his skin would have been pretty dark to match, don't you?

Yeah. He probably looked a lot like the guys that are racially profiled as terrorists.

I doubt he'd make through the airport security checkpoints without being pulled aside for a "random security check".

I love the answer just below mine!!

That's the european version of Jesus.

Anyone who knows anything about this knows religions are man made, and his image was made in the image of the people who are perpetrating that fraudulant image.

Organized religions are frauds.

Better to be spiritual and believe in a God than to follow any organized religion.
