Man, hell... Go try to be a SEAL, and mess up in BUDS, they'll have you chipping paint on ships after you wash out.
You have 4 years to truly decide on what you want to do. Unfortunatley the Navy has very little in the way of combat arms at the small unit level. Remember you have to pass BUDS to become an operator, if you cant hack it, they will wash you out, and put you where the Navy needs you, it could be as a clerk, mechanic, boiler tech, etc...
If you really wanna see action, let me suggest to you going in the Marines guaranteed Infantry (0300), then when you are in SOI (School of Infantry) the Force Recon bubbas come by looking for new guys. If you wash out, you at least get to go back into an Infantry unit. Force Recon training is about the same as SEALS. There are some notable disimilarities, but over all its the same.
Best of luck to you....

Admirable goal, best of luck. The physical aspect no doubt is challenging to say the least but the mental game is the foundation.
My advice is to first get an A school out of boot in something you enjoy and excel at, perhaps aviation electronics (AE- school in Milington, TN.) Don't let your recruiter persuade you to go open contract with a guarantee of BUDS. Hit the fleet first and after a year or two, then go to BUDS. The reason why I say this? If your squared away and get your rate first, you have options if the Teams aren't for you. Electronics or Communications has many opportunities when you rejoin civilian life. Try to get your crow before you hit BUDS. Getting your Trident also means that youll be obligated to extend your enlistment. Is it a wise choice? Thats an impossible question, everyone is different. Regardless if you are in the Teams, or in the fleet, you'll get an education in life that cant be taught in a classroom. Best of luck Shipmate.

Humans will never be completely replaced by robots. I am glad you want to be a seal but you have a long road ahead of you. If you are more concerned about being replaced by a robot then the actual reality of being a seal you are barking up the wrong tree. Get a job as state worker if you want job security.

I'm assuming you're 14 and you're waiting to graduate high school.
The two best things you can do is start by getting yourself physically fit and keeping that way--one of your exercises should be swimming. The second thing you can do is to do the best you can in school. Your education plays a big role in what sorts of opportunities the military gets you. For example, all the SEALs that I dealt with outside of boot camp were at DLI-FLC learning a foreign language. The better your ASVAB score, the better chances you'll get starting out. The better your education, the better your chances at getting any training opportunities that you might want once you get through SEAL training.

women are at present barred from all direct wrestle and wrestle help floor instruments. that incorporates the army SEALs; who, by the way, are element of the U. S. army. Hair could be dyed see you later as that's a organic colour and not distracting. There are rules for makeup etc. Why the Hell do you capitalize each and each be conscious?

yea its a good choice, but be ready. about 90% of the the people that go to the shool fail, you have to have a serious gut check for that one. Something like that will always be needed. you can do it. its all in the head games, get passed that and its easy.

if I deciphered your question correctly*** there will always be a need for special forces. job security for a SEAL is NOT dying. there will be limited jobs for you once you're in civilian life.
