Canada does have an army. They fought in World War I and II. They even fight in the middle east, I don't know where in the middle east. It's so small that they get no recognition for what they have done.

I don't know why I laughed when I read your question.
Anyway, I never heard of a Canadian Army either. Canada doesn't really need an Army...the country is right next to the U.S.
Who's going to mess with Canada with America right next door?

You never hear of the Canadian army because the country unified all of its miliatry arms into the Canadian Armed Forces. Air force, navy, army - all and more are under the one name. Their general site is at .
A very long time ago, I spent a week with Canadian army units training to go to the Sinai Desert to serve as the UN buffer force bteween israel and Egypt. We were all in the California desert. I had one of the best times with those guys - who had all flown down from their base in Pedawawa, Canada - drinking wonderful Canadian beer and driving all over Southern California.
Candian forces are outstanding. Their country should be proud of them.

Yes... they have actually come to my home town on a few occassions to train at Ft. Benning, GA.
I'm not sure why you have never heard of them. They sent some of their soldiers to Indonesia during the tsunami relief efforts as well as other humanitarian aid. Perhaps it is because their numbers are relatively small compared to the super powers.
P.S. love castaway's answer! ROFL!

Yes. We have many troops over in afghanistan, iraq, and lebanon as we speak. :(
You don't hear of it because it's of a smaller magnitude than the American army. Smaller country = fewer troops.
