I think if they are "true" Christians, then they should accept other's religious beliefs.
Our best friends are Japanese Budhist and the other is a former Jew who now claims to be an agnostic. They are married to each other.
They are the nicest, most generous, caring, sympathetic and best friends we have. They follow the Golden Rule of "do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
We are Roman Catholics. Our non-Christian friends have been to all our children's Baptisms, first Communions, and weddings. Whenever they dine at our house, they politely bow their heads when we say the "grace" before eating.
We try to follow the old adage of "never argue religion or politics with anyone". You probably will not win.
I believe that God loves us all. We should abhor the sin and not the sinner.

I am a Christian. It is not just a religion to me, or part of my culture. It is my life. It is who I am, not what I do. The Christ that I serve has saved my life (literally)and for that I will not compromise and try other religions. I tried other religions before I was found by Christ. ALL the money in the world, and every treasure on earth could not convince me that there is any better way to live. I love my Jesus with all my heart.

Because the Faith is the Faith. If I started hanging out with say, pagans, and started adding their beliefs to mine, then my original faith is no longer the same as it used to be, which means it isn't the Faith anymore. What this does is say that the Faith can be changed to whatever I want it to be, which is wrong. The Faith can never be changed, because it is eternal. It comes from God, Who is eternal, and Who does not change, because He is perfect.
Borrowing things like food and dance and stuff are just physical things. They have nothing to do with faith, unless the foods and dance are a form of worship or acceptence of another belief, then that's different.
Don't make the mistake of thinking that all religion is nothing put a product of culture. The Faith was given to us by the Divine, not from anything earthly. It is a product of Heaven, not earth. People and customs may change, but the Faith does not.

Do other cultures accept any other religons? Look at the Islamic people. They don't accept ANYTHING but their own hate. Why is everybody against the Christians nowadays? This country was founded on Christianity and has been more tolerant and accepting of other cultures than any other country in history! Find me another country based on one religion that has done this.

Jesus stated the He is the way, the Truth, and the Life, and there is no way unto the Father except through Me. He is making it plain that He is the only path to God... If there is no forgiveness by accepting the blood of Jesus Christ for one's sins to be atoned, then they can not go into God's presense as He is a Holy God looking for a Church without spot or blemish. Also, along the lines that some think that we believe that all other go to hell, even if they do not know about Christ, the Word of God states that we are judged by the Light and Knowledge that we have recieved according to Christ, and how we have sought God... Those 2 things, therefore if they have never heard they are not judged as if they were to have had that 'light and knowledge,' so it's that you are judged by what you knew.

Religion is not a "part of culture". Religion is a belief. In America we have Catholics, Jews, Baptists, Methodists, Pentecostals, Scientologists, Mormons, Muslims....I could go on and on. Members of each of these religions share LOTS of things, but they hold fast to their beliefs. Not just Christians.

No religion was a matter of choice and not cultural. Saying it's cultural is saying that ALL Americans are Christian which isn't accurate. Saying it's cultural is saying that ALL Japanese are Buddhists...No religion isn't cultural. PEACE!

I dunno which Christians you've been talking to. Or maybe I don't count as a Christian. A lot of people here would like that!
Other cultures have beautiful religions. Even other cultures takes on Christianity are very interesting. I am very interested in learning more about Ethopian Christianity myself. Buddhism, however, if the religion I would like to study most.
As for others, I dunno. Maybe they feel accepting other religions betrays their own?

Christianity is a religion, so how exactly can a religion accept another religion. I would think they would be mutually exclusive.
