My fingernails are covered with white dotsI heard they were causesd y smashing your fingers but i havent smashed all my fingers yet their all coverd what are they? and what are they caused by?

Those little white marks that sometimes appear as dots or lines on the fingernail are known as leukonychia.

They can be caused by several things:
stress
mild trauma to the nail
skin conditions
certain medications
lack of vitamin A and zinc

Normally, they appear at the cuticle end and grow out towards the tip, but if that is not the case, it could be a fungal infection.

you need to see a doctor, white spots in the nails are indicatve of a problem with oxygen supply in the blood...

Those can be caused by minor injury. They're harmless.

my mom always said it was a bruise under your nail but i dont know if that is what it is

i think its just lack of calcium
drinkin milk would probably help them go away :)
