There is no age requirement to start having sex. I have two girls, 14 and 10. When my older daughter started calling boys it was just cause she wanted to talk or 3-way "party line" with other kids. It was all very innocent. There was a mother who asked my daughter to stop calling her son. You can do the same or ask to limit the calls.

Depends on the parents. Some have had sex at 10. And some, usually the ones with 2 parents, stay at home mom or family member/sitter, or 1 busy w/ after school activities, are the virgins. Call the parents of the little girl, tell them your son is not allowed calls from girls for a few years or limit the # of times per week or # of mins per call.
Be the parent, stay in their business ALL the time & NEVER give the chance to lose their virginity. Difficult, YES! Impossible, NO! Worth it, DEFINITELY!!

Phone calls don't directly lead to sex. Girls at this age are usually more interested than boys and DO pursue them. Perhaps you should limit the calls to 2 or 3 a night and 10 minutes apiece.
AND, if you have not had a talk about sex with your son, get to it. AND, if you see signs that he is extremely interested in someone, do not leave him in the house alone for periods of time when he knows exactly when you will be back.
Mainly, education is the key. Talk, talk, and more talk.

My brother in law is 13 and he says that he knows kids who are already having sex and with more than just one person. We live in a nice suburban area and these kids are just growing up too fast. My brother in law has had many girlfriends and is always on the phone with girls and has been for the past couple of years, but he hasn't gone as far as to have sex.

I had a friend (male) who had sex (with his baby sitter) at the age of 9. Children these days are off the hook. Talk to him or have a male companion find out if your child is sexually active. I also saw on channel 7 that 4th and 5th graders are having oral sex and having sex depending on the colors of plastic bracelets. Good Luck!

Kids can start having sex as early as they want, provided they know what they're doing and are able to perform the act.

There's not an age--they just do it. Keep an eye on him if you don't want to be a grandmother in a few years.
